What is your favorite species or general group of pythons and why.
My favorite pythons are carpet pythons because of their curious personalities and their stunning colors and patterns. I also like retics and green trees.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but I guess I'd have to say an L.albertisi-Northern White Lipped Python. My next snake will be one of these. I love the iridescence they have, and the black heads with the little bit of white. I like the solid gold color as well. They also achieve a nice size, without being too bulky. I also like the semi-arboreal tendencies they have.

if you like iridescent snakes, brb's are great.

Yeah, I have 2 CRB's. That was part of what drove me to get them, haha.

My favorite is the new one i can have from my wife :D

On a more serious note : i love burmese coz they're big and sweet. But then again, i also love retics coz they're big and not so sweet^^ (damn, there goes the seriousness...) Very hard to pick any tbh, also like olives, carpets, tree pythons...

Pure jampea dwarf Retics by far, even over other Retics. My personal first retic, but I don't suggest them as first Retics despite they're relatively smaller size. Active, inelligent, insane feeding response, don't get too big(for a retic), calm as can be after you break their fed mode, beautiful colors and iridescence, keep you on your toes, never a dull moment, I could go on and on.

Retics in general would still be my favorite(so far) that I've worked with. Although I do really enjoy my carpet and childrens. Bloods are really cool too.... I like all pythons from balls to scrubs.

yeah guys, I like retics too.

Never had snakes more alert then Retics. Eyes on you and at the front of the cage from the second you enter the snake room til you leave.

yeah i know, you always gotta watch your back.

White lipped and childrens/spotted.
About the only pythons I really like.
Honestly in general I just don't care for the python look. I much prefer boas.

I'll always have a soft spot for retics. I grew up catching and keeping them.

I'd have to say retics I only have one, but if I had the room there would be a lot more. I love burms to our boy and girl are well behaved most of the time :). And I'd dearly love a scrub one day.

Retics by far are my favorites, they're super smart and have always peeked my interest (mainland to be specific) fascinated by the size as well

Nice, looks like retics have been the winner so far

Carpet pythons

Moderate size anyone can appreciate but don't need huge enclosures like the giants, arboreal and great display animal, strong feeding response, and comes in an array of subspecies and color/pattern variations.

Carpet Pythons. The favorite I own would either be my Albino Darwin or my JCP who was the first snake I owned.

My exact sentiments. Carpet pythons for me. I suspect that I would love a nice balckhead... but I have never had obe... yet...

Jungle Carpet Pythons for the reasons already listed. They're one of my favorite snakes.

Like the majority I like Retics, the reason is because they are big and aggressive and I think that makes them the most impressive. Sadly it's not a snake I have any firsthand experience with, but some day.

Yup, such a strange feeling in a python. Their eyes are amazing and their color and pattern are truly beautiful. Timors and retics are a close (tied for) second though.

Another vote from me for the retics, they're just so smart makes them amazing to work with. But the Burmese is a close second.

Sumatran red blood pythons (their coloration is gorgeous!….one day!), Ball pythons (Either bumblebee, spiders, or….mine!) , burns, and…….*drumroll* Retics!

I like the whole genius, that is why I collect them. The differences between the species is what I like most! I have no Boas, not that there is anything wrong with liking Boas:)

Leiopython hoserae. Solid black, 9-10 foot snake with attitude and a face that looks like a skull.

For me,

Personality...BlackHeaded Python. Hands down.

Looks...Hard to beat an A+ jungle Carpet or Chondro.

Aspidites genus is definitely my favorite, and are currently the only two python species I'm keeping. Womas and blackheads are so docile and unique I just love it. Blackheads have the size to them and their heads look like they're dipped in black ink. Womas are so docile and friendly they come to the door of the cage wanting to be taken out when I'm by their cages. Both species have such unique habits and traits that make them so much more intriguing to me to keep than other python species. I did have a jungle jag carpet for a little while which was kind of cool, even though he was pretty neurotic. The morelia complex is in second place for me because of him, and anything besides a ball python is tied pretty far up there too haha.
