Dayum.
I fed my MBK a fuzzy and a hopper and he went nuts. He grabbed the fuzzy and banged it all over the place until it exploded it's guts all over. This is why I feed him in a seperate enclosure- he would eat a ton of aspen. It's not going to be fun when he is full grown trying to put him back, but I don't know what else to do. Kings are awesome. Thanks MBK guys for making me get one by bombarding this forum with your MBK pics.

Geez, sounds messy, haha. When my rainbow boas were on pinkies they would make a mess, I had a few explode just from them constricting.

How do you thaw your feeders Frank? The only time I've had mice explode was when I thawed them in hot water. Since I started letting the mice thaw naturally and using a hair dryer to warm them up I haven't had any more issues. Gotta love that king feeding response :)

Usually by room temp and then hot water before feeding. I definitely left it in the hot water too long. I'm used to thawing large rats- guess I over cooked the mouse fuzz.

Lol my MBK just gently swallows her prey. No striking or anything. She got more excited when young.

Noodle strikes (and sometimes misses, which I find hilarious) but definitely doesn't indulge in other theatrics. Yours is uh, special. :D

I have a corn with a pretty crazy feeding response. She strikes at anything that comes into the tub and will bounce off the walls trying to get at things on the outside. When I give her a mouse, she will strike it hard and then coil her whole body around it.
