I've really been thinking of switching my snakes into PVC cages lately because they look so nice. I've been looking around some threads and have seen that RHPs seem to be the best option for heating, so one question I have is if RHPs will work well with all types of snakes and are they difficult to install/get working?

Another reason I like PVC cages is that they could potentially save me quite a bit of room. I currently am still living with my parents and they wont allow me to get a rack so the stacking capability of these cages is really appealing to me. So that brings me to one of my other questions, would the heat of the cage below/above have an impact on the heat of a cage? Would I need multiple thermostats or just one plugged into a power bar controlling all temps?

My final question (as far as I can remember lol) is if any of you fine folks can recommend any manufactures in Canada or specifically in the GTA that makes really high quality cages?

You can use rhps with all snakes, without an issue. However, I typically keep my arboreal snakes with RHP, and my terrestrial ones on belly. Both can be used in pvc caging.

So would it be a bad idea to heat my ball pythons with the rhps?

You can use a RHP just make sure you monitor your temps and provide the appropriate heat gradient and your fine.

No, it's not an issue, and you can. I just prefer belly heat, since BPs are terrestrial, and spend 90% of the time curled up under a hide.
