Could anacondas be considered the larger and green version of rainbow boas?

What gave you that idea? Have not kept or have much experience with anacondas but they look different as far as physical appearance.

Just a thought that came up after seeing a sarcastic post with someone calling an anaconda "a green rainbow boa".

Same family (Boidae), different genus (Eunectes vs Epicrates) and species. So they're related but not that closely. Hybrids may be possible. About as closely related as carpet pythons and burmese pythons.

I've only ever seen one picture of a hybrid, and I'm not sure if its a CRB x yellow anaconda, BRB x yellow anaconda, or BRB x Green anaconda. The oldest thread I've found the picture in: here is the photo ssthisto - Reptile Forums (http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/forums/snakes/265589-here-photo-ssthisto.html)

My guess is CRB x Yellow annie, but I have no clue. That's just based on pattern and color.
