How do most of you clean your cages...a bleach solution. ..vinegar etc? I used to use bleach in the past but just curious if there is a better option out there...

Thanks

I use a bleach/water solution once every 4-8 weeks.

I use an incredibly diluted bleach water mixture for every day cleaning, and about every 3 to 4 month do a deep cleaning with a 1 to 4 bleach water mixture.

Chlorhexadine/water mix (1:10 mixture)

Chlorhexadine Gallon - Reptile Basics (http://www.reptilebasics.com/chlorhexadine-gallon) if you're going to be ordering from RBI already... :D

i spot clean when required.....

i do a full vivarium clean once every 8 to 12 months, with hot soapy water

imo a lot of people go over board with their cleaning and do it way to much

imo its not good to keep snakes in too sterile enclosures

cheers shaun

I use dish soap, and only when it is yucky under the paper, I usually just replace the paper. I use really thick indented kraft paper.

Craft paper is changed a couple of times a week and when I do that I clean with hot, soapy water or f10sc. No issues so far.

My enclosures have soil, so I spot clean as needed for the most part. I generally only change everything out entirely if I am going to switch enclosures... then I spray everything down with Ivermectin (to ward off mites) and clean with a vinegar solution.

I use an F10 (SCXD) solution for everyday use then a mild bleach solution for a strip down clean. But I use paper with all my enclosure's so they never get that bad as I replace and clean once a day (if soiled)
