I'm not sure this is a question, but just wondering how often your Kings shed. I fed Hershey tonight (which of course he snapped up). Less than 5 minutes after taking his second mouse he was shedding his skin.

I got him in sept last year and was told he was 3 years old. He shed 3 weeks after i got him. He had no shed for a while as he went off food for 5 months on late oct/early Nov. then began to eat again on the 7th March. He then had his second shed with me on the 20th March and then another on the 20th May, again on the 22nd June and now another one tonight.

Anyone have any insight or is this perfectly normal. I wouldn't have expected him to shed quite so frequently these last few times.

Sounds like he's just growing again. My kings usually shed about once a month but they're only yearlings. My Cal king went off feed from Nov-Jan. Once he started eating again he seemed to shed more often. Sometimes twice a month.

Snakes shed as they grow, the faster they grow the more they shed. No set amounts they should shed per year. If it is shedding a lot, check the water bowl to see if the snake has mites. Snakes will force themselves into a shed to rid themselves of mites.

Definitely no mites. There has been nothing in his water and haven't seen him soaking. I had him out yesterday and nothing on him either. It is probably just me, it feels like just the other weekend he shed. So i was surprised when i saw him tonight. He never shows any signs of going into shed, except that he goes into his hide and doesn't come out until he either sheds or gets fed. He came out on cue for food when i put his mice in and 15 minutes later i spotted him crawling out of his skin.
