Hi All... NorCal Rattlesnake hunter here, for PICS and VID... I am a true believer in respectful catch and release.

I am a long time member and contributor to another web site in CA... CalGuns... a firearms website. They use the same vBulletin site shell, so getting around here is already very familiar to me.

I make my home in Ukiah, CA and with the aid of my GF Miss Denise, we hunt the Cow Mountain BLM OHV in Mendocino and Lake Counties.

Here is a video and digital image of one rattler we visit every now and then... we named him 'Sylvester' - SLY for short... because when we first met him... he was a TUFF booger to catch.

I have to tell you, I cannot do this without Denise, she is my 360º eyes and ears when I'm in photography mode.

NOTE: We recently ordered Snake Guardz and a Pillstrum.

The following is a sampling of our passion.

Cool video, I find it really interesting the way he flicks his tongue all the way up and down.

Welcome and best wishes John. Nice video and pic. Stay safe.

Thank you... Me and Denise have a TON more video.

We are total NEWBS... we both ordered all new snake guard leggings, and a Pillstrom... new boots.

I can't believe the MODs let me add a pic and a vid on my first post... thank you MODs

Hey and welcome!

Hey... :)

Welcome aboard, nice video

Thank you... this is a really great site.

Cool video, I find it really interesting the way he flicks his tongue all the way up and down.

Oh... haha... I know, I try to get pics when he has it straight UP... but... man... he's TOO fast.

Anyway, that rattler is a Northern Pacific... he has a permanent home there where we found him about a month ago.

We stop and visit him every time we go snake hunting, if they's no people around... I don't want people to know where he is, they might hurt him

We measured him at 43" long w/o the rattle, and 11" around the girth... ohhh he's a BIG BOY :D

Thank you all, everybody for a fine welcome... I am not here to teach... I am here to LEARN...!

Hey! Nice video. I love snakes, but I prefer to watch the poisonous ones from far, far away. lOl
