A friend of mine is a professor of biology at Southeast Community College and recently found three timber rattlers in SE Nebraska, this is what he said once he found them: "OK...for those of you who are in the know, this will be a great piece of news: Today Christopher Visser (https://www.facebook.com/TheGermanFarmer) and I found TWO Timber Rattlesnakes in Richardson County, Nebraska. For those who are unawares, only about 10 TR's have been found - dead OR alive - in this county since they were first discovered there in the 1930's. Now comes the fun segment of this study: radiotelemetry. We will be radiotracking these two snakes throughout the rest of the season."
