I have a 3mo. Old Knoblochi kingsnake. We just got her 2weeks ago. She was due to eat on June 18th. So, we've been tryn to feed her for the last week & a half, & she won't eat. Any ideas why? Or what I should do? How long can a 3mo. old baby go without eating? It's been about 2 1/2-3weeks since she last ate.

Hey and welcome! Some details about her enclosure would help. Temps(hot and cold sides), cover, substrate, heat source.etc. You can post pics of her setup after 5 posts.

Also, it would be helpful if we knew what you were trying to feed her. i.e. If she's been eating live pinkies and you're attempting to feed F/T pinkies, it could present some issues during the transition period.

Well she's in a 10gal, tank. We bought a reptile setup from petco for her, she has aspen substrate. & we've tried giving her both frozen & live pinkies. The temp in the tank stays around 75-80.

The place we ordered her from didn't say what they were feeding her, all they told us was that she was eating pinkies.

She has a heating pad on one side w/a light, which is where we keep her house, water dish is on the other side

Welcome to the forum wolf. First things first, is your heat source controlled by a thermostat? That's vitally important for the health of your snake. She's probably still settling in. Make sure she has at least 2 hides, one on the warm side and one on the cool side, along with lots of cover to make her feel a bit more secure. I would stick with the f/t prey for a while too. You can try dangling the f/t item from your tongs, or braining or scenting the prey. You can also cover the tank and leave the prey item in overnight. If those options don't work try a live feeding. Best wishes and please keep us posted.

Yea, we have a thermostat in all our tanks. & she only has one hide on the warm side. We've left the live pinky in over night, even tried putting her in a smaller container with it. But thanks for the help. I'll keep u guys posted
How often are you trying to feed her in this last week and a half? Sometimes that can stress them out in itself and cause them to not eat. If she isn't losing weight and still looks healthy, I would leave her alone for a week and then try feeding her again.
