stinkpots stay pretty small, around 4-5 inches. So if anyone wants a turtle and doesn't have much space, this is a great choice.

Wow, what a little cutie. We used to call the Stinking Jennys when I was a kid. My brother and I caught 24 of them in a little over an hour with worms and a small hook out of the Charles River. I remember tapping one on the nose to see if it would bite and it took off about 1/2 of the finger pad of my index finger, then he swallowed it. "OUCH" Not the turtles fault, just the dumb kid asking to be bitten.

he is sooo adorable :p mine wasnt a whole lot bigger than that when I got him. what kind of setup do you have him in? I was always afraid of my little one getting sucked to the filter.

really simple setup with my own DIY turtle dock lol I have no filter for that reason lol I'm still worried that he might get stuck somewhere. I will try and take a pic of the setup.

for a long time I had a water and land side with a regular fishfilter in the corner of the land side, so his water was about 5" deep and he never used the land side. So I redid the tank and got a tupperware thing that is the same width as the tank that I put in the end and put the filter off of that, it works well :) can post a pic if you like

I haven't updated in a while but Eli has not been doing to good. I found him after school, stuck on his back. Hasn't been eating, and was throwing up. I found Eli flipped over again today when I came home, but didn't make it:( R.I.P baby Eli
