Just kind of putting this out there since I have already attempted to contact the Repticon folks and have yet to receive a response...

My wife and I were planning a vacation around the FIRE show this upcoming September, and initially, I was under the impression, based on their show descriptions of past years (2012-2013) that this show featured venomous vendors (aside from the usual educational P.R.E.S.E.R.V.E venomous display).

Has anyone here actually been to the FIRE show and seen what was offered? What was it like? Is this true, and if so, are the hot vendors accessible to the normal attendees of the show, or is there a special pass to be had? Were there a lot of hot vendors there, or was it really that much more spectacular compared to any other Repticon?

Found a few videos posted online from attendees in past shows, but I didn't see one venomous critter featured and didn't see venomous listed in the 2014 description on the website.

I'll ask a buddy who works for Repticon for ya.

Guess he doesn't know much. He works for the East Coast region but FIRE is hosted by the Florida group. Sorry I couldn't help more.

If you drill down to the "Rules for Vendors" at the very bottom for Florida it says:

NEW for 2014!
No Florida Shows Will Include Include Venomous Species or Sections

Repticon Florida Laws Page (http://www.repticon.com/florida.html)

The Columbia, SC show has quite a few hots. Their next show is July 12 -13

Thanks. We already re-scheduled our vacation for other reasons, but that answers my question.

Someone told me the Baton Rouge, LA show has hots as well.
