Fixed the riding mower and only took 30 minutes to mow the lawn, decided to use the free time to make this.

Great stuff foam 3.99$, polycrylic I had lying around, and some ecoearth/sand from enclosures. Not the prettiest, but I think it will look decent after adding substrate, plants, all the furniture and lighting. Took less than an hour as well. Wanted to incorporate cork (tubes and flats), but I wasn't sure how it would turn out so I tried it on an extra 36 " exo.

Thanks man. I'm not very artsy crafty but I'm trying. Makes keeping diurnal lizards so much more rewarding. Planning to put my very small female gilleni in here. Hoping she will bit a bit more comfortable and catchup to her siblings!

I agree. Looks great. I think these backgrounds give more "life" to vivariums than premade backgrounds(cocohusk slabs)

That looks nice, when I was going to do a background I thought about using grout but I think I like the look of this better. Can't wait to see it finished!

It certainly looks natural. Sort of looks like you dug up a chuck of rotting wood with a termites nest attached to the bottom of it. I'm very interested in seeing the vivarium when you have it completed.

Jim - It does remind me very much of something like you just described haha. I didn't plan for that, I didnt plan anything really. I actually sprinkled sand, small aquarium gravel, but nothing stuck well other than the cocofiber. Just an update though, I think I need to do another round with aquarium silicone, most of whats on there in the pic is not sticking as strongly as I'd like. Also, for next time, making a note to buy the great stuff foam for Ponds, it comes in black which I like better.
