I came home last night to a great surprise- 8 baby purple mangrove vipers (C. purpureomaculatus) were born to my larger hypo female. I'm shocked at the size variation of these babies- a few were MASSIVE and a few were really tiny and a few in the middle. I also have some nice color variation. A few babies are really really red in color, and one is almost solid black. I can't wait to see how they all look once they shed out! My poor fiance had to get the babies all out and into individual containers and clean momma up, since I work nights Monday-Thursday now. I got to clean the cage and return momma to her home when I got home.
All of the little ones are doing well, and absolutely full of pure unbridled fury! Haha, you have to love purps- they are just so utterly foul. LOL.
