Be kind of hard for people to give you an Educated guess without seeing it

Is the white around his eye like the scale has lost pigment?

6ft mark why is that important to find out what is wrong?

Well... You said he's got some rough looking belly scales. My thoughts are if the snake is bigger and your friend is apparently afraid/unwilling to handle him. If the snake is bigger it makes it more likly that he wasn't keeping the cage clean enough due to not wanting to interact with the animal. So my guess for the belly is possible scale rot. As for the white around the eye could be hard water, stuck shed, or loss of pigments. No real way to tell you without pics no matter how descriptive you are.

If its something you're actually worried about then grab him out and get pics, you'll have to if he's got to go to the vet anyway.

he did clean him out but he just chucked a pillow case over him and grabbed him. he is now shedding and the white around his eye is gone so it was probley stuck shed. i will let you all know how he has done with his shed

That's good news, just let him settle in his new surroundings and take things easy, handle him little but often, I'm sure you'll both be fine.

thanks he has shed sort off he has a lot of stuck shed along his back. but i've been wetting him and rubing him down and its coming off. the tatty scales have gone he has got a nice shinny belly. trying to peel the shed off not easy. he is very active made it easier when he went on to my bathroom door lol but we are getting there together

Good to hear :) A good tip for his next shed is to increase the viv humidity and try adding a larger water bowl, one he can soak in. They are very clever animals and some 'experienced' retics like to soak in a washing up bowl pre shed, perfect sheds every time.

he has got a dogs water bowl that he can soak in so thats not a problem. he made it easier on me when he went up my bathroom door so he was rubbing the shed off and it was easier for me to peel it off him. he is all good know going to try a feed with him either today or tomorow
