Hi Guys,

Not been active for a while as I've been busy but I managed to get a few pics of a couple of Burms I picked up over the past few days.

Now the first male had a few people guessing, but we have come to the conclusion he's an Albino Labyrinth, he's certainly different and I've already matched him up with a stunning Hypo girl for future breeding.

Hope you like :)

Congrats on the Burms. Youll be able to make some cool bateaters aswell. I've always wanted a burm but the time has never been right. I wish we(usark) would just win the lawsuit already so I can get a dwarf burm female.

Thanks mate, I couldn't resist (him) he was offered to me for next to nothing so I traded my Boa against the Hypo girl. At least this pair will fit into my breeding program, even if I have added another element LOL!

My stock arrived in the country last night. I went to view today.......OMG....some of off the charts mate. I'll get some pics together when I have them home ;)

Yep, luckily we don't have those restrictions, one benefit from living in a cold country LOL

Can't wait to see them man. Can't imagine how excited you are right now.

The sad part about the laws here is that there is no way these snakes could live anywhere in the continental US except for southern Florida(they haven't even made it to central Florida in 20+ years of being there). And yet the whole country must suffer because of bad science; the government says they can live over more than half the country.

Got a dwarf visual white genetic stripe here (CB12) she's mid shed though so once clean I will post some pics, she is absolutely stunning mate.

Sucks man, can't believe you guys are restricted to what you can keep....

I can't wait. Wht albino GSs look great especially with some dwarf blood. Can't wait to see pics when the neighborhood is full.

It's not really what we can keep, but we can't purchase certain species from out of our state of residence. It's a federal crime to move these animals across state lines. So my hopes of a pure dwarf burmese arnt looking great, as no one in my state(that's at all active in the reptile comunity) has pure dwarf burmese. Theres a few half dwarves though, which I am considering.

It's kind of funny though. They made it to where breeders in states with very little burm following end up with potentially hundreds of snakes they can't give away. I wonder if they even thought about the fact that stupid people might dump thousands of Burms that no longer make but cost them money nationwide.

Although I much prefer normals, those are some pretty ones. Although I'm not too sure the albino is also a lab (maybe a het.), I think you will have some surprises if you breed it with the hypo... And if I'm right, you got an even better deal on it than you think.
I will also add that hypos tend to be extremely variable in appearance if they are het for other genes, and the blushing on the female tells me she might prove out to be het albino as well.
Either way, I think you will have some surprises with this breeding.

Thanks :) I would agree on the none lab but the last half of his body markings make you think again. Yes the hypo is ph, but either way like you say come breeding time it'll be awesome (fingers crossed)

Until then I'll just keep quiet.

Especially if you have an 8+ foot snake that's having a bad day, even worse if you have a 16/18 foot retic that's 150lbs of pure muscle, not only may they be having a bad day but now your day just got worse

Once a retic always a retic either big or small. My new white visual girl.....now there's an attitude I've not seen for a while :pissedoff:

Never had a dwarf or a SD but I've heard the smaller ones usually have a worse attitude than the mainlands?

The dwarfs and superdwarfs have distinctly different personalities from the mainlands and each other. Both of my retics with Jamp blood have a massive feeding response the second I open their enclosures and don't calm down until I've got them out. My male SD will come right out of his tub ready to explore and is very active. My female SD is really flighty but unlikely to bite unless you startle her. Of my non-dwarf stuff they're mostly pretty calm in and out of their cages with the exception of my motley het albino (who has a crazy feed response) and the blonde who is just a grumpy snake.

I can agree with Kyle, my jamps are at the cage door from the second I walk in to the snake room for food(reminds me of an argus monitor). Once out they are very laid back and constantly trying to climb. And my kalatoas will dart out of the cages if spooked when it's open and and thpically don't stop moving for little bit when i get them out. But they've never once shown the slightest sign they might bite. The small Retics seem to be a bit "sped up". There are a lot of similarities, like they all share the intelligence retis are known for, but they are have different things to offer.

Is that true for most SD? Not big on biting people...? I'm assuming when they are babies they are at least a little nippy

They can be but in my experience once they hit about a year of age they stop if they were nippy babies.

They're both gorgeous. I don't get to see many labyrinth burms anymore. She's a real looker.
