A few weeks ago i gave Hershey's viv a bit of an overhaul. Added a few more branches as he loves to climb on his vines. he loves that he has been able to make more use of the height of his viv. But for the last two weeks he has cleverly discovered that if he wiggles and jiggles enough around the two slots i made into the polystyrene backing to hold the vines in place he can worm his way down the side and the back.
So now with a new sheet of polystyrene on order here of some pics of a king behaving badly.

Thanks Ziggy. Hershey loves it too. Some days its hard to tell which part of him is where as he is contorted around everything.
JP - I have the best security system in the world. A husband that isn't keen on snakes.hehe
Beautiful king and nice set up! Maybe running some aquarium silicon around the top and sides of the background will stop him getting behind it.
Where did you get your vines? I've just ordered some Exoterra jungle vines for my rhacs' but I've never used artificial vines before so I'm not sure how they will work out. I hadn't thought of introducing then to my snake tanks!

I got them online. I think they are the Exoterra ones. If not then something very similar. When he was in the viv that i got him in, i used to just push them into the polystyrene. For the most part they held up well. But one end used to fall out under his weight. When i replaced his whole set up i got a few of the plastic suckers and bent the vines through the rings secured them with a cable tie and made a small V in the polystyrene. This holds them in really well as the suckers doesn't pull through the smallest part of the V. Unfortunately one of the V's i made a bit too large and he has now just noticed.
