HF, I really do not handle mine a lot. They are essentially still pretty much wild (adults) As far as feeding , all but one or two of mine will take small pinks, and one big female will even take rat pups! The babies can be difficult if you don't work with 'em a little. I have plenty of hatchling anoles when I need them for food. Anyone interested can ask and I'll send a "care sheet" I give to people who want one.

Send a care sheet this way;) Hoping to catch one this spring or at least get one. Need it for the mimic part of my programs :D

awesome, how much will the babies cost?

I think the more pertinent question is, how hard are the babies to feed? You've got to realize a hatchling will NOT be able to consume a whole rodent of the smallest form.

Can't be much worse than a newborn Pyg:eek: But experience with tiny reluctant feeders and difficult snakes are definately required for these guys.

here's a pic to give you an idea of the size we're talking about. Very small, and the babies like to start out on hatchling anoles or ground skinks. You can use "parts" as well as they seem to use their sense of smell as a primary food locator.

you need like 50 breeders just to make an omlet! :D

Will any lizards work? More specifically certain lacertas?

Eumeces and Scinella are common in the scarlet kingsnake's range, as are green and brown anoles...

Kyle, I'm not certain on that one. I use the anoles because they are from the same areas. Also 5 lined skinks and ground skinks that are found in the s.e. U.S.

Nice male...the babies can be and usually are, a headache to get going at first...but it's worth it...my favorite tri-color for sure

Good luck with them

Been breeding them for years and usually start them on anoles. I have hatchling anoles at the same time.

ok thanks, do they eat F/T (wiggled or still), F/K, or live? I was thinking Podarcis muralis, just cause they are SO easy to find.
Thanks,
kyle

With these guys the smell is a big big thing. If they like something it's easy to scent just about anything else with it.

Just curious, Mark, do you ever sell brown anoles along with the hatchlings? They are hard to find up north!

I suppose it could happen..........
