View Full Version : Woma's
Hi Guys/Girls
Has anyone of you had any experience keeping Woma's? I've been offered a breeding pair, I've had a little look into them and they seem pretty interesting animals.

Waiting on Derek to chime in..... Never had any myself but known people that have them and they love them to death.

They are incredibly easy to keep. They are hit or miss for their temperament though. My current male & female are placid but my old female would smash her face into the glass every time I walked by. They have a strong feeding response and some will try and eat anything that moves. For caging all they need is a couple hides and a gradient reaching 90-92 degrees. They don't eat prey items as large as other pythons I would like to add. And keep the water dish clean, they love to drink fresh water. They have a nice long drink every time I clean it out.

Thanks for your reply. This pair have given two clutches (one this year) but I'd be keeping them in 33L rubs for now as my racks would be too big for them, think they'd be ok?, if not I'll pass as I don't want to keep them in conditions not fitting.

If designed properly you can't get an enclosure too large. If they are adults they will be fine in any size enclosure with a footprint of approximately 6-8 square feet or larger.

Decided to leave them, need the space in vivs for other snakes and wouldn't want to house them in the rubs, thanks for your replies :)
