About the Repticon Reno Show:
In August of 2011 Repticon made its West-Coast debut with the first ever Repticon Reno. Repticon's "Biggest Little Show" returned to the "Biggest Little City in the World" in January 2012 with a very warm welcome from the large and enthusiastic community of herpers. The show was once again busy and bursting at the seams in October 2012. Then no longer able to be contained, in 2013 the show moved to the Exhibit Hall at The Reno Sparks Livestock Events Center, a larger facility allowing for even more of a great selection of reptiles and exotic pets, pet products, reptile themed-merchandise, and all sorts of reptile-related fun. Last year a ban of sale of animals at "Swap Meets" was passed in the state of Nevada. We have attempted to work with animal control in Reno to determine whether this ban would prohibit sales at our type of event in Reno. Based on our discussions with animal control both before and after scheduling this weekend's event, we were led to believe that sales at our event would not be prohibited. Animal control has shifted their stance in the last few days, and it is currently unclear whether this statute would be enforced in such a way that it would prohibit our vendors from selling at this weekend's show. Given this uncertainty, we are forced to postpone this show indefinitely until this matter can be resolved. We share your disappointment and apologize for any inconvenience.
