My little guy "Future" is growing like a weed! He enjoys being in the 86F degree snake room lol

I had to do some emergency rehousing too soon after his last molt... and since he looked so pretty in his holding tube, I thought I'd snap a few pictures!

I intentionally didn't lighten this one... there's something about this colour scheme that I just love!

Wet fangs still! And based on these pictures, I am leaning heavily towards Future being a male. I wasn't able to take a look at the molt because it was already dried all crinkled and I don't have my little tiny molt undoing kit down here yet lol

I love their iridescent blue foot pads!

Very good looking spider! I agree with you that it looks more like a male than a female at this point.

Thank you! ^.^ I just love these guys!!

He's a good 2-2.5 inches now... So I'm preparing myself for only another year or two with him ): I hope I'll be able to loan him out though... I'm rebuilding my T collection at last.

Tarantulas fascinate me. I could never own one, but they are awesome. Cool creature. :)

You're welcome! Maybe some day I'll have the nerve to own one. :) Are they easy to care for??

The level of care varies from species to species... But I don't believe they are any harder to take care of than snakes. The biggest difference is that a lot of TS are FAST, so any time the enclosure comes open it's a process! This particular species is very hardy and easy to care for, but is super fast and defensive. Definitely more of a display animal!

LOL! They aren't everyone's cup of tea (: But that's okay... more for me! :D

Awesome, thank you! I'll keep them in mind, once I move out. No way is my dad letting me keep one of these, he's not even completely comfortable with herps with 4 legs.
Yet he adores my snakes. Funny how that works. ;)

You're welcome (:

My dad got me my first tarantula for my 12th birthday... My mum made all three of us sleep in the garage for two days LOL But then she quickly became fascinated, and any time someone would come over I had to show off the tarantula lol Over the years, she even helped me unpack new ones and rehouse others (:
