Okay, so I've read a ton of stuff on what to do for an egg bound snake and what often seems to cause egg binding, but at what point do you determine that your snake is egg bound?

Seems like a good question to have answered anyway but I am just a bit worried about my gravid female coxi right now too. I'm hoping this is just first time breeding nerves and not something serious. I noticed a bulge just above her vent about three days ago, like an egg perched right there. Didn't think much of it at first, figuring that she was just very close to laying but she has not layed yet and I'm not sure if I should be worrying about it yet. Here are the best pictures I could get.

Does that look normal or worrisome? Today makes 12 days since she last shed.

a vet using ultra sound equipment will be able to tell you if there's eggs in her mate
