Got 8 more 4 x 3 x 14" in place and ready for growing BlackHeaded Pythons.

I'm planning on making another 8 in a few more weeks. Got animals growing and, need a place to put em. haha.

These are made of melamine (yes they are heavy! haha) but, I'm not planning on moving them once they're set. For the price I can build one cage (65 bucks)...they've lasted me about 12 years before they need any kind of repairing....and for that price, just throw em away and build new ones. lol.

Here's a shot of how I make the tracking for the sliding glass. Just route a piece of 2 x 1 melamine and paint.

Wow! That's a nice snake room.

Great work on the cages, looking good. Just goes to show that a melamine cage can last if done correctly.

Here's the breakdown....

4 x 8 sheet of melamine will make one 48 x 28 x 13 cage. 38.95 (Home depot) I even have them make the cuts for me. And I fine tune on my table saw at shop.

Two 9 1/2" x 24"..... 5/8th glass 7.50 each (have to go to local glass cutter....not lowes or home depot)

Ceramic Light fixture (1.25)
6 foot extension cable (1.85)

And some waterproof sealer for the seems (2.45)

That's it.

Anything really .....tub and tile sealer works great. Also...outside window sealer works good....all the same.

Looking at this snake room makes me very Jealous!

I think you should plug the toilet drain and keep a goldfish in there.

Thanks everyone. I'm so happy with the new room and abundance of space. Been awhile since I've had that.

Now, I can get back all my animals I have on breeding loans. Haha.
