Cool! Post pics of your snake and enclosure. Plenty of knowledgeable folks here!

can you tell us a bit about how you are keeping the snake now?

You dont want a screen top tank, as you will not be able to maintain proper humidity and temps. If you have a screen top, aquarium style tank now, you can cover 75% with tinfoil to keep humidity in. Your snake should be eating rats, probably small rats? at this age, preferably F/T. NEVER leave a live prey item in with the snake for any length of time. If the snake is not interested after 5-10 minutes of CLOSE and CAREFUL observation, remove the rat and try again in a few days. You can feed every 7-10 days depending on the size of your snake and the size of the prey.

Provde plenty of cover and hides, you can use empty clean cardboard boxes with a small entrance hole cut into them, the snake will want several places that are dark that it can curl up and feel safe in.

You will want to create a gradient of temperature as well, so the snake can chose between being warm and being cool. I will let someone with more BP experience comment on specific temps/humidity, but low 90s high 80s are normally adequate for a hot spot.

Someone with lots of BP experience should comment soon with anything i missed or fudged up.
