I have a 20 Gallon corn snake "tank" but a whole side of it is completely cracked, and is being held together by black duck tape. I dont know if it is better to just buy a new one, or to build one my self. I can build if it's cheaper. I don't know what paints, or woods to use. I dont know whether to use Plexiglass or just glass. I also could use some help with dimensions.

My opinion. Buy another one. There are loads on Craigslist for next to nothing. Building would be an unwanted headache. I bet a yard sale may even have free one's just to get rid of them. See them all the time.

Buying one is quicker, i would try going as large as you can go they love space. Not rly experienced with 'gallon' sizes sorry.

Yeah I would look on CL for at least a 40g long for a corn snake, with sliding locking lid or better yet, buy an enclosure with front opening doors. Plastic enclosures are the best IMO, but there is nothing wrong with building your own wooden enclosures as long as they are sealed from moisture and setup correctly.

Do you now what the recommended size in inches/centimeters is?

a 40g breeder tank is 36x18 inches

I'd go 36x24 bare minimum for a cornsnake

Petco is having their $1/gal sale coming up starting march 30th or 31st

10G/20L/20H/29G/40B/55G

Probably the best deal you will get for a new tank

Craiglist will probably yield cheaper results though..

40 Breeder should be a good size for your corn.
