View Full Version : Soon to be new addition
So I'm super excited! I have cousins that own snakes, mainly balls but they have a sand boa or two and a baby RTB (not sure if it's BCI or BCC yet) and some monitors, etc. And they have to move and downsize their collection and they know I've wanted a RTB forever. So my dad talked to them and they're giving us the baby and everything needed for it, free of charge. :) Super excited! Not sure yet when we're getting it or anything, but I'll keep you guys updated:)
She (I'm going with she for now. ;) ) is a BCI, which is great. As much as I love BCC, I probably couldn't care for a snake properly larger than 8 feet.

Congrats on the new addition! Looking forward to seeing the pictures ;)
Thanks! There's a couple pics of her but they aren't good at all. Getting her sometime this week, Tuesday or Thursday most likely. :)

Here (s)he is! Super sweet, pounds rats. :) she's about 4 months I believe, bigger than Bindi by a ton! Crazy attitude difference as well. Love them both.

Thanks a ton, I'm so in love with her :) They gave us everything for free with her, two heat mats, water dish, the tank, the hides, everything. I'm very lucky!

Awesome snake!;)
They both ate tonight, and holy cow does the red tail mow down rats! Crazy feeder, she's awesome and layed back. :)
Does anyone know how well Zilla's Jungle Mix works for humidity and everything? I bought some and just want some opinions from you guys~
Also I decided to name he/she Ezio;)

If I'm not mistaken that's the stuff that's black like potting soil? If so it would be cheaper to go with a soil/sphagnum Moss mix. Just make sure the soil is pesticide free.

She looks great! Just be careful not to feed her as much as your carpet. Boas will get fat. Vin Russo feeds his boas once every two weeks and doesn't feed them at all during the winter.
Your substrate choice is fine, but humidity will be more dependent on the ventilation and water bowl than the substrate. As long as there is little ventilation and a large waterbowl you should be fine with other substrates as well.
Thanks guys. Yeah, my cousins fed her two pinky rats every 5 days, I'm feeding her one fuzzy rat every week or so? I'm not sure if that's too much, but I'm trying to get Bindi to eat a pinky rat at least every 7-10 days. I had one hopper left from last feeding so I fed her that, but now we have a bunch of fuzzies for the red tail and I think 6 pinkies and a few hoppers just in case for Bindi. :)

Congrats on the new addition :)
Thanks sweatshirt! Here's another quick picture of Ezio, he was chilling on top of one of his logs when I was taking pictures. :) http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b482/daywalker2812/IMG_9349_zps95e9ae8f.jpg (http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/daywalker2812/media/IMG_9349_zps95e9ae8f.jpg.html)

He's real pretty, I love the black on his tail :p
Thanks a ton, I love his colors as well. They're very contrasting, especially in person and natural light. :)
