Hi all. I have had my 75% Diamond/25% Jungle for over 2 years now, I have attempted to keep her at standard Carpet standards, but she seems to thrive during times of what I would call "famine"--moments when I am too busy to fuss over her humidity, temps and what not. She has shed like a champ when her hydro has read 10% or less. She is out on her perches when the temps on the high side are under 80 degrees. She hugs the cool side when the warm side reaches the low 80s. She refuses rats no matter what I do, and I feed her 4 adult mice every 2 weeks. She appears to thrive. I have been to busy to handle her regularly lately, but historically she has been a joy. Curious, active, and eventually relaxing around my shoulders. According to many care sheets, I have it wrong, but my snake is showing signs of thriving. Are high diamonds in a jungle mix served well by current care sheets, or do I have an exception?

only pure Diamonds are kept as Diamonds, all the other Diamond crosses are kept as Carpets mate
my Diamonds have a basking spot of 90F
my Carpets have a basking spot of 86F to 88F
cool end high 70's F to low 80's F
re crossing over to rats
you have to be very patient, hold out and do not offer anything other than rats for months if that's what it takes
i scent my rats with mice, heat a rat and a mouse with a hairdryer, then burst the mouse open, and smear the rat with mouse blood and guts, then give the rat another quick heat before offering
once they take scented rats, simply scent a little less every 3rd or 4th feed
imo there may not be enough heat in your hot end,to allow the snake to digest a larger meal (rat)
i would up your hot end temperature to 87F to 88F,as imo your hot end temps are too low
cheers shaun
