View Full Version : 2 reptiles one tank??
So couple months ago went to the ranch and caught a lil Texas spiny lizard..been doing good on mealworms ... now today I found a baby Texas blind snake ...I want to keep him but so tiny not sure what to feed the snake ... anyone know what I shud be feeding it?? And also would they be fine together??

Personally, I would not try putting two different animals in the same cage, one of them will likely end up dead from it.
Many of us (including myself) have tried this before and had tragic results.

Definitely don't try keeping two different species in the same tank. Even multiples of the same species usually doesn't end well, unless it's a breeding pair together for the breeding season.
Yeah thanx guys I got the lil snake in a cup for now.. it looks like its a hatchling and found it in the house ... makes me think their more in the house.. still wanna keep him lol... what do you feed snake the size of a coffee straw btw??

If I'm not mistaken blind snake will eat small insects and ant larvae.

Yeah they eat termite and ant larvae. Don't know if they would eat small earthworms or other small insects. Cool snakes though!
Yeah those larve are something I can pick up at a store... yes I thought it was cool loookin... lil pink worm lookin thing.. want to see him get to a foot ..
