Non of my snakes have escaped, they are all fine...my brother though, his corn escaped sometime between 11pm last night and 3:25 this afternoon. The bad part is that we will be at our dads this weekend. We searched and cleared out ares of his room and placed the furniture in a seperate rooms(after checking). We also set up traps with f/t mice. we are worried that he went down the vent or went under the bath tub in the next room(bathhroom is under construction with a panal from the bathtub leading into his closet). my step dad and mom will be checking the traps through out the weekend and we stuffed a towel under his door with it closed.
Anything we miss at all??
I don't want to be chewed on for this escape, as this snake is not my responsibility.

Hey DC, I'm sorry to hear about the escapee. It's definitely not your fault and sshh happens no matter what. I dont have any helpful advice but I really hope you all find him and I'm confident you will. Best wishes budddy. Keep us posted.

put grocery bags up against the walls, when the snake comes out at night you should hear the bags making noises, this has worked for me in past. Best of luck!

Also use baby powder in the corners, where the walls meet the floors.

Update: no sign of the snake so far. We believe it either remained in my brothers room, went under our bathtub and into the wall, or found its way into my room somewhere(being the warmest).

imo folk won't give you grief for an escapee mate
it can happen to the best of us
i once had a Jungle hatchling escape 4 or 5 times in a row (even after i checked his tub for holes, etc)
he was housed in one of the large plastic Exo Terra faunariums, they have little plastic spars all around the top of the tub as ventilation.....
it turns out that the bottom of one of the spars was broken, this allowed him to squeeze out said spar every night, until i realized that it wasn't just a crack in the bottom of the spar,in fact the spar was broke all the way through...
i was lucky in that he only ever went as far as the back of the vivarium his faunarium sat on,he used to wrap himself around the probe cable that went into the back of his downstairs neighbours viv
please let us know if you find him
cheers shaun
P.S. He will most likely be in a quiet dark warm spot nearest where he escaped from
