New to the snake thing, but learning.I was at the toronto expo Sunday & noticed, that the blood red corn was almost twice as much money as the other corns is this a general rule or was it because of misprint?
Also what is a fair price for a small female blood red corn.

Bloodred is suppose to be at least twice or more expensive than any normal corn snake (assuming that the normal is het for nothing)

The reason for this is because bloodred may look very normal as a hatchling. But if you look close enough, you'll find that it's actually quite different compaired to a normal corn snake. A bloodred has a greyish head and PLAIN belly (no checkers on the bottom) Also once the bloodred grows up it's blotches and ground color merge into one maroon red color. One of the best looking bloodred will look like a patternless red/maroon corn snake with no blotches visiable.

Where as most normal corn snakes will turn out to be brownish/reddish/maroonish coloration with a lot of difference in the color of the blotches and background color.

That is why the normal and the bloodred is so different in pricing.

Here is a link that you can go to and get some more information:

corn-utopia.com (Bill and Kathy Love; you can also get the "Corn Snake Manuel" from them. It's a great book to have and it's almost a must have book for beginners in corn snakes. I have been keeping corns for almost 10 years now and I still refer to that book...lol...but I think that they are going to have a new version out soon so you might want to get it a bit later...)

cornsnake.com (Rich Zuchowskil; one of the people who made tons of different morphs out there in the market. |Also manages the cornsnake.com forum)

cornsnake.net (Don Solderberg; lots of nice looking corn snakes and morphs. )

You can email me at candycanecorn@hotmail.com if you need any additional information about corn snakes. I'll try and help you out as much as I can....if I don't know....then we'll try asking people out there.....people out there has tons of information and are really good people....

Hope this helped.....
