I picked this guy up at Hamburg; he was just too darned adorable not to! He's a White's dumpy tree frog, and one of the biggest ones I've seen.
He's pretty calm and slow, one of the reasons why I love this species. ;)

You may want to get him on a bit of a diet IME the rolls of fat over the ears shouldn't be quite that big. Nice frog though

Doesn't seem overweight to me :)
The way to tell if a whites tree frog is overweight is its limbs. This one may just be an older one.
He's beautiful, Willow :)
He's so big and cute! Very nice :)

Thanks guys. I just couldn't pass him up. I'm debating between Bubba or Oscar for names. I have been wanting to keep White's frogs for years, but my fiance was always saying that I had too many other things.
For now I've got him and a big white-lipped tree frog that's pretty friendly and curious. Hopefully they both continue to do well for me and bring years of enjoyment.

He's beautiful, Willow :) He isn't overweight, but could use a little less weight. Just a little chubby.

Thanks guys. I'm admittedly not a frog expert- I like chubby looking frogs like White's but I want them to be healthy.
I'm feeding a diet of dusted crickets twice a week for a total of access to 1.5 dozen for the White's and 1 dozen for the smaller White-lipped tree frog. Is this ok, or should I be doing something different?
Any suggestions are welcome :)

I haven't had mine for a while, but I think I was feeding a bit less than that. Try cutting back a bit and see what happens. Just look up pictures of wild whites and base it off of that.
