I wanted to get some opinion on this. Do you guys prefer to keep your enclosures static, or do you like to occasionally change things around to give your reptiles new object/areas to explore? Do you think snakes benefit from that kind of enrichment?

I change things around. Even if it's something as simple as adding a new layer of leaf litter, I think there is a considerable benefit, even for snakes.

Don't know about benefits, but I guess it does in a way stimulate them to move around and explore.
I do change things up every now and then. Things like substrates, position of hides, perches...etc.

I change up the enclosure every time I clean. No matter what I do though, my king always stays in her tree hide no matter where I put it.

I like to move their hides around from time to time, usually when I clean their tanks. I'm switching the substrate next weekend. Gonana try sani-chips for the first time.

I was thinking about trying sani-chips out for my two little ones. Where were you able to buy them?
And thanks for the opinions guys. I was fixing my corns cage(he decided to knock over a plant) and in the process I decided to fill in one of his burrows so he'd make new ones. Also added another branch for him to explore.

My buddy Steve (Sharthun) told me about pet360.com for the sani-chips. He says they're great. I ordered a bag of those and a bag of the finely shredded aspen. Today is feeding day and cage cleanings are next weekend. I'll try the new bedding then. Here's the link.

Yeah Knox turned me on to the sani chips. My snakes seem to like it it also makes your animals more visible. . I like the way it looks and it controls odors much better than standard aspen. Also spot cleaning is a snap because Sani Chips clumps up like kitty litter which makes cleanup a snap! Already used almost 2. 2 cu/ft bags. Going to place another order!
Thanks a lot. I'll check it out.
