I go to the Cleveland Reptile Show every month. Not a bad show but doesn't have many of the Snakes I'm interested in. I'm thinking about trying Pittsburgh or Columbus as they are both within a two hour drive of my place. But I really don't wanna show up and see nothing but ball pythons and red tails. Not that there is anything wrong with those, I just don't wanna waste my time on Snakes I can get here.

Anyways, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Drew

Ps, I'm really into colubrids, especially Asian and South American.

If you're willing to drive, you could always go to the hamburg show. It never disappoints.

I would love to, but that's a 6-8 hour drive for me. That's rough for a few hours. I might go anyways if closer shows don't pan out.

You could always make a weekend out of it, stay at a hotel, then go to Cabela's haha!

January Pittsburgh show had very little but bp's...very small show...

I went to the Columbus show this month and I was honestly a little disappointed. I went primarily because RodentPro is there, so I stocked up on feeders. However, as far as a show goes it wasn't too impressive. I like the Cincinnati show better, plus its closer to me lol.

This is kinda what I figured. The Cleveland show is kinda small too. Not bad, just limited on space.

You can normally get a list of the vendors that will be at the show, and contact them as to what they are planning on bring. Just go to the Expos website for the list.

That's a good idea. I never thought about that. Thanks I'll give that a shot.

I will say I did go on the website for pittsburgh...January it was "steel city expo", and the vendors listed were NOT the vendors there... :( the one for this weekend is being held at a different location and not labeled as "steel city" so I don't have input on this one...just be aware that some of the vendor lists are general as to who "usually" frequents the shows...not necessarily who WILL be there...

Yes Cabelas is the best! It would definitely be worth the trip- two birds with one stone; However, you'll have to decide shortly as the Hamburg show is tomorrow!

And yes, I heard that Richard Cabela passed, very sad.

we are planning on heading to hamburg tomorrow to pass the day...I hear there is lots to see and may find some good deals on enclosures or accessories :D either way it beats sitting at home!

Do you live nearby? This will be my 3rd or 4th time attending, I love it! I plan on getting there when it opens :)

One of my favorite vendors sells exotic rodents/marsupials/chinchillas/ect..

If you are not sure if the venders list is accurate, contact who ever is running the expo and get a list from them. Keep in mind that some vendors may not show up due to weather conditions or if they feel the attendance will be low.

about 4 hrs away north...will be my 1st time...we thought about going down tonight and getting a hotel room, but we would rather save the money and see if we can find a deal on some nice enclosures or something to benefit the babies we have here...we have some in modified glass tanks we want to upgrade to pvc or malamine and havent had the time to build them or find the materials in the area...so either way, we get to see awesome critters and maybe get some stuff for our babies! IF i can get the hubby outta bed to go...i don't want to get there too late....

If you see something you like, buy it THEN don't wait! I've made that mistake and what I wanted was gone when I came back. I think it has to do with the massive amount of people in a relatively small building.

that happened at our last expo...hubby wanted something and we went back and it was gone...we chalked it up to "it wasn't meant for us"...the most we may pick up may be another T...have a few we have researched and discussed on T forums, so looking for a possible deal on one of those, but if not, oh well..I just want to get out of the house...I started a 3rd shift job this week, so working 5 days a week is strange to me after years of working continuous 12 hr shifts...I am used to days off...I want to go SOMEWHERE! LOL

I've never really paid attention to Ts, but I think they're cute! I'm going to be looking at the KSBs and the furries- They had mallard ducks last time I wanted them so badly! One vendor has axolotl- I want so badly but I'm not allowed to have aquariums in my apartment :/

we have T's, they are awesome! I used to be an arachnophobe...but now I think they are awesome! I never want any aggressive types, but the more docile beginner colorful ones are so amazing! :D

I like to look at them, but I'm far too scared to hold one. I'd definitely own one as long as I didn't have to touch it or clean out the enclosure!

I was the same way...I ended up being the 1st one in our house to hold one...I HAD to conquer my fear...now I am not afraid of them...respectful, but not afraid...my young rosehair is moody...one day she wants out to walk all over you, the next she is in "attack mode" at the first sign of movement...my adult is just totally chill...she goes with the flow...if i wanna hold her she just walks onto me, otherwise I just let her move to the other side as I clean her water dish, etc...I don't care if I hold them...T's dont LIKE to be held...so I am cool with any of them that allow me to clean and change water without biting or escaping...lol
