Hey guys been a long time since Ive been on other than quick occasional looks.

Grabbed this girl a week or so ago. Shes a WC Female Burm about 3 foot, from Vietnam. Was told she was aggressive and she was but already showing signs of improvement, major potential in this snake. Some really nice colours and markings on her. I love a nice light normal burm!

Nope i didn't import her, got her from somebody. Her being WC didn't matter to me.

I'm not particular either way. I'm actually toying with the idea of wc Colombian as I want a pure blood.

Yup I don't see much wrong with it as long as long as its not a threatened species. Just be ready to treat for parasites and mites. I was lucky and didn't have to go through that.

How did you even get a WC?

Edit: I see you're not in the state.

Nas is right. There is also a chance your animal may not survive due to high stress levels, parasite, disease etc. But prices are ridiculously low compared to CB.

Nas do you mind if I ask what it was you imported?

Very nice. Any plans to breed her? I sometimes wonder how limited the gene pool is in the captive breeding scene. More so with burmese pythons since they have much less known morphs relative to, say, reticulated pythons or ball pythons.

No plans so far. It would be fun though. Maybe later on. And i agree, burms are very inbred in captivity, and after speaking to multiple burm experts I was told that in their experience many albinos are very prone to RIs due to stress and other factors.

Thats one reason I'm very happy with this girl. Pure normal, no hets, no captive blood in her, and in a way healthier.

This is not to say all albinos or morphs have defects, but that with such a small gene pool and so much inbreeding its bound to happen. This doesnt mean i am completely against inbreeding or morphs either. I'd love myself a green one day :)
