i have been watching this show called drop dead diva. it's been pretty entertaining, but i just watched an episode where these woman think a rat is the reincarnation of a man. one woman wants to feed the rat to a ball python. the rat is WAY to big for the snake to eat and this really bothers me. i just had to get that out.

Good to know others picked up on that part in road trip. And that I'm not the only one mad when I see boas, or kings, or black rats, or any non venomous snake with fangs. Speaking of which how'd you guys feel about the beardies in the movie Holes? They had frills, fangs, and were apparently extremely venomous. Come on people do a little research.
On a funnier note they couldn't get an anaconda right in the movie, but in Harry potter they made a perfect retic? What?!? It's not even about snakes.

Don't forget the Burmese from the first movie! Yes the blinking is very fake, but in general it looked very good. :D
The most god awful movie to my opinion is Snakes on a plane though, at least anaconda is kinda meant to be fake. That one part when that guy has like a milk/king snake (don't remember which it was tbh) in his hands and is screaming, tosses it in a microwave to kill it.. :o... riiiighhttt

So what you people are saying is that they should use live venomous snakes for shows and movies instead of just brightly coloured non venomous snakes and adding fangs? Riiight.
You have to think from the producers side of this. They know most people don't know a venomous snake from a non-venomous and they have to think of safety. So they just add fangs to something else to make it easy for the show to use and gives the effect they want anyway.
It's funny to us (well not me) but the shows larger audience doesn't realize the difference and that's okay because it's on us to educate them one by one.
Also, Snakes on a Plane was a fantastic movie. It was fun and campy and didn't take itself seriously so just enjoy it! A snarling burm was pretty neat.
For someone screaming (being paid to act) about a snake they know nothing about and could have a legit snake phobia he did what was called for (over the top a bit but par for the movie). In my opinion he played a snake phobia guy pretty darn well.

No one said that, just that its annoying.
The one that gets me the most is the 100% cgi stuff that looks nothing like what it's supposed to.

How about the CGI rat, kings and milks killing people on "snake on a plane"?
Wasn't that the best?

Good movie. Comical graphics on the snakes if you know anything about snakes...but still a good movie....I love Samuel L Jackson!!

Exactly. Movies like this that are intentionally over the top don't bother me. They're not great movies, they're just fun movies. It's the ones that try to truly depict animals in a false nature. One I saw recently that was pretty bad was a movie called the Grey with Liam neison. It was about plane crash survivors being hunted down one by one, by a pack of wolves. What a joke.

I've seen it. Had some issues with it too but overall I enjoyed it.
I rarely dislike movies though.

Hmm maybe i should re-watch it! There has only been 1 movie that i ever just turned off half way, and i usually love over the top movies. Maybe i was trying to take it to seriously. :D
