Serenity and Atari breeding! (coxi)

Paired them for the first time today and witnessed a confirmed lock, although I didn't get pictures of that. Really looking forward to this pairing! It's the one I'm most excited about this year.

Serenity just shed and was hanging out on top of her lay box, of course she had moved by the time I'd grabbed the camera and was nearly back in the lay box for these pictures.

These are Thai Bamboo ratsnakes, also called Red Mountain Racers. There are several subspecies and the common names for them all seem to be fairly interchangeable, so knowing the scientific names is also important. Which is Oreocryptophis porphyraceus coxi for these two.

But I'm a little concerned about the other two, this one is one of the super long ones, it is a very heavy egg. It has sunken in in the middle but it has good veins that seem to be growing still.

Then this other one is a bit sunken in too and has been turning colors. But it also has good veins at the moment.

Baby #4 at a nice hefty 10 grams. I was very impressed by how calm this one is. The whole clutch so far has been calmer than the first one, I've been musked a few times but no one has bitten me yet, although it's still early days and I'm sure that will change!
