I had to go to Ikea today, saw something that i used to have in my Taeniura's viv and thought I'd share.. They are called Krokig, coat hangers with a glove compartment. My Taeniura's and my friends Corn-snakes loved them, they would lie inside or on top of it. Saves space on the bottom, and they look pretty cool especially with a snake glaring out of them! I personally secured them with wing nuts for easy removal (The back is open) The opening is large enough to take the snakes out without removing it though. Maybe someone will like them as much as we do, ill add some more info.

Width: 14 ¼ "
Depth: 7 ¾ "
Height: 11 ½ "
So a very big variety of snakes fit in them!
The 3,99 is in Euro's, the Us prize is 4,99$
Made of black or green Polypropylene, easy cleaning with water.
You can cut the hooks off, but they are not sharp/dangerous at all and i used them for Securing silk plants!

They look like this:

awesome, thanks for the nice find. I might implement those in my carpet python cages.

When snakes are in hanging hides you never really need to bother the snake when cleaning substrate, water...etc

Well if you decide to use them, i would love to see pictures of them in use! And yes not having to bother with the snake while cleaning, another advantage! I did always had to watch if they weren't planning an air-strike though, my beauty snakes were very fond of trying to give me a couple of love-bites. But they did act less bitey if they had the height advantage on me, that was a big plus.

Good idea! I would probably cover it with bark and moss to dress it up a bit.
