I added an aquarium air stone to the water dish and my humidity went up to 90% ... I actually had to tie a knot in the hose to slow the airflow....and I was able to get a little more ventilation by removing one of my plastic pieces on the screen top ... got my humidity right at about 65%

You could also just put your heat pad underneath your waterbowl and evaporate water in that way. Never thought about the airstone though.

I've always been told to keep the water bowl on the cool side. If you warm up the water, it promotes bacteria growth.

I take the bowls out every night and grab a new one. Makes sense though, most of critters dont drink from bowls though anyways. Airstone is a cool trick, I'll have to give it a shot.

Is this for a Spotted Python? I have always read the same, for my spotted I keep my water dish in the middle of the tank (20L for my 68g Spotted)

I mist and keep foil on top to keep the humidity in, when he sheds I place a humid hide half on UTH and half off, I have had no issues with this plan.

(IMO)

I would just like to say, I got one of these air stones at Walmart, quite cheap for the whole set up (pump, tube and rock thing) and it works REALLY well. Thank you for sharing! :) Now I don't have to spray my tank every day! :D
