What an unfortunate thing to have happen and to post here on the tail of what seemed like one incredible show in Toronto. But we don't have a choice when these things happen . . .
One of our fire bellied toads, Clumsy, escaped from her home last night. I found here this morning in the hallway after an extremely frantic seach, but we have no idea how long she was out for.
As of the time I am posting this he is in a medium sized critter keeper that I usually use for bringing our amphibs home in with around 1/2 inch of water to sit in so that she can rehydrate. Unfortunately when I found him he was so weak that he hardly moved when I picked him up and hasn't moved since he was place in the water, except for breathing a little.
To everyone who reads this please think a little of Clumsy today and keep your fingers crossed that he will pull through.
I will post how he is doing as soon as I get back from school this afternoon.
Take care everyone
Matt
