Hey everyone!
Back in December I won an RAACA auction for these 2 cuties. A pair of Argentine Boas, or Boa Constrictor Occidentalis. We finally had a warm spurt here and we were able to ship them. Thanks to Manny Frade of Prefect Predators.
Well without further a due, here is Abaddon(Female), and Ezekiel(Male)!

Both have let out some hissing. But Ezekiel almost got my face! He was very sweet at first, then out of nowhere, he just went for it. Twice!
Abaddon seems to be soaking a lot so I'm keeping a close eye on her. Temps seem fine so I'm worried its mites. But hopefully she's going into shed soon. We'll be taking them to the vet on Tuesday to get them both checked out as a precaution. I do this with all new additions.
After placing both in their own clean tubs. Within an hour or so, both had pooped so I had to clean the tubs already! LoL.
Thanks for looking!

Thanks everyone! I can't wait until they settle in. I want to interact with them more. They seem to have some very interesting personalities.

Argentines are among the largest of the boas. Females normally reach 9-12 feet and males are usually 7-9 feet. They are also quite large bodied snakes.

Yup! They are cute and tiny now, but eventually I'll have some beautiful monsters! :D They've got quite a few years to get there. Slow and steady feedings, wins the healthy race!

Beautiful boas, congrats!
Really, really nice mate! I am officially jealous. Argies are great and fairly uncommon snakes in the trade - nice to see people taking an interest in them.
I would love one. If only I had the money and the space!

They're doing great! Took them both to the vet for the new addition checkup. Both have checked out fine! They are both feisty little ones. They are both in shed now too. Once they've shed I'll probably them their first meal.
Thanks again everyone!

Glad to hear it! (I also wait a while before feeding...I've never understood the rush to feed an animal as soon as he or she arrives....)

I always see if new animals take food the first day they arrive, everyone has different opinions about it. But it seems to me that if they take food the first day they get here, they will search for a spot to digest and settle down easier. The animals that eat right the first day, and are left alone to quietly digest. Seem calmer. If they do not take food i just leave them alone though, i see no harm however in trying once without pushing them.

I understand, I figure I am just offering if they want to eat or not. If they don't eat then I'll give them more time to settle and offer in another week or so.

They are both eating great, shedding great, and weight ~120 grams. The male hasn't hissed or struck anymore, and the female has been a hisser up until about 2 weeks ago. Now she seems to have calmed down.
Thanks for looking!

I bet they'll be a beautiful pair of adults as well. The pattern will be enticing after each shed.

I am super excited to see them as they grow and when they're older! My plan is to try and take pictures after each shed or so and keep this thread going with updates as they progress. So stay tuned for more pictures!
From a distance I have some trouble telling them apart. But I have gotten their differences down. The female is a bit more lighter and has a trident on the top of her head, with a broken middle tong. Whereas the male is darker and has the same trident but the 3 tongs are intact.
Thanks for the comments everyone!
