To be honest, this is pretty exciting to me. With my IJ, she ate maybe 3 times, and with this girl I don't think I'll have to be stressed about her eating. :) I make it seem alive with tongs, she constricts and I give it a few tugs to simulate a living mouse, then I let go. She let's go of it and goes elsewhere, just "killing" it. Then later she comes back and eats it.

Whatever, I'm just glad she ate. Thought I'd share my excitement. :)

Also, temps are going great with the glass tank, better than I thought. :)

She went crazy over it ;) I was only worried because Tim said when she was younger she was a finicky eater and was force fed and assisted fed her first 3 feeds and had to have some live as well

That's awesome to hear. I just fed my baby bloodred corn snake and she went bananas on the pinky. She struck and literally wrapped every inch of her body around it. After about 2 minutes of making sure the f/t mouse was thoroughly dead, she went to work on eating it.

It's so adorable to watch a small snake really go after prey item.

I guess they get over the finickyness after a while.

I had to assist feed a carpet 2 times because it just wouldn't eat but after that her feeding response was just as strong as anyone else's. Hasn't missed a meal since. Would not want to be within striking range if the room smells like food.

lol definitely not. I'm lucky she hasn't got me yet. I'm glad she has a strong response now, makes me not worry. :) Once she realizes it's food, she goes nuts when you move it once anywhere near her face. it's awesome.
