I have always laughed at people and their stories about how they allowed their snakes to escape, I mean really? How do you allow that to happen? I am very careful about keeping my sliding tops closed and locked.
I placed fresh water into "Pippi" my Rosy Boas enclosure and closed her top, and oh my she was thirsty, I love watching snakes drink water. A little bit later, about 10 minutes I reach in to take her out for a feeding and to clean her enclosure and shes gone !
I checked all her hides, her favorite hollow log and I dug in all the substrate and she's no where to be found. WTF ? How did she possibly escape, this doesn't happen to me, Im always so careful.
Well, I commence to removing everything from her enclosure, no "Pippi". " A friend stopped by and she even helped look. I ripped my house apart, I pulled things off walls, I moved and tipped furniture upside down. I actually took the back off of my refrigerator.
After a couple hours I said, "Screw it, she will turn up eventually." After all that, I commence to start putting my house back to where it should be and putting stuff back where it belongs including putting "Pippis" things back in her tank and holly hell,I look and "Pippi" is in her enclosure ! I don't get it. She was not burrowed because I did removed all her substrate.
My guess is she was tucked up or hidden in one of her hides and I just didn't see her.
