Nikki365, where are you located and what did you do the snake once you found it? Is it dead or alive?

Hi Alessia,
I am from Malaysia. I am staying in a single storey terrace house. It appeared in toilet bowl while my brother was using the toilet. The first response was to flush it away, close the cover and run!

However, it appeared again the night after. Not too sure, why it only appears at night. This time we were more mentally prepared, flush it together whatever items we store in the toilet, bleach, shampoo, etc...

Am not too sure if it is still alive. But, we did not find it appearing in toilet bowl for the past two nights.

Am posting the picture of the snake so that we can be more prepared in responding. Do you know what species is it? Is it venomous? I think some pieces of information on the snake would help to respond/ report to relevant authorities.

I think it is a retic..a baby. Look at the head shape and the pattern and color. looks a lot like a retic to me.

Never thought a retic would get into sewer pipes..

Definitely a reticulated python. Where are you located? Man so far on this forum I've seen someone in my state find a green anaconda in their backyard; now you've got a retic in your toilet. Why am I not this lucky? I could save some money.

Nikki365, it looks like what's in your toilet is a baby reticulated python. They are NON-VENOMOUS, meaning that if it bites you, you will NOT get sick. Next time, you could try to extract the snake and release it in the wild, since they are wild in Malaysia.

Everyone's finding awesome snakes...at least in its native range it's slightly more expected.

As everyone's said, it's definitely a reticulated python. There's no mistaking it. I am gagging a little in my mouth for the poor thing, though....

Ahh, on my phone the flag appears to be an American flag. Makes more sense now.
