First expo tomorrow!

Looks like we are headed to our very first expo tomorrow! (barring anything unforseen...) its a 3 hr drive, not sure if I will come home with any animals, but still super excited to see a variety of critters!! would be awesome to find a smoking deal on something ;)

Bargin, haggle, low ball. I've never paid full price at a show. Shows are great, I go to most in my area even if I don't plan on getting anything. What are you hoping to find?

P.S. I suggest after the show, for safety reasons, clothes straight in the washer and a good shower.

I had already told hubby that we are NOT to touch our animals till after we shower, etc...LOL...

as far as looking for something, I would like to find a good deal on a GTP or a nice sand boa morph...maybe a hognose or milk morph...I have stuff I can throw together at a moments notice to sustain any of those until more permanent enclosures can be made or purchased...those are the 4 i am most interested in...but I'm not getting anything unless its a really good deal..I have been "shopping" online checking prices...so I refuse to get ripped off...LOL

Im going to the Atlanta Repticon expo tomorrow. Hope to find a great deal on an albino bull or other pit snake. If not I'll contact a private breeder next week. Good luck with your search Sharlynn. Hope we both have great stories to share tomorrow.

I would love to go to Repticon...too far for me...this one is just south of Pittsburgh...I watched some videos they did of some past expos and hoping they have some of the nice things they had in those videos...and that the prices aren't outrageous...good luck EL-Ziggy!

Is it a 2 day show? I've always got the best deals the last hour on the second day, they'd rather not pack them in the truck. Good luck, take photos to post up for us. Stick to your guns on prices. I figure out how much I'd like to get off the asking price, double it and start there(lots of room to negotiate).

There's a show here next weekend, not sure ill go as I'm getting a snake on Tuesday. I'm hoping my dad decides to take my little brother and invites me( don't have to pay for gas, it's 2+ hours away). When I was my brothers age(10) he'd have no choice, I'd bug him too much.

its only a 1 day show...but since it starts at 9am and is 3 hrs away, by the time we get there it will probably be lunchtime...so if we wander around and wait till close to the end we may be able to do some haggling...LOL

Beautiful new addition Sharlynn. Looks like your expo was much nicer than the Repticon I went to.Unfortunately I didn't find the snake I was looking for. Not much variety at all. Lots of ball python morphs, a few boas and hognoses. I did get a hide, some fake plants, and some forest moss. Oh well, guess I'll be ordering online.

This show was quite small, but amazingly had all the things I was interested in and then some...I got musked by a ghost honduran, held a banana ball, and got to see a leucistic columbian rainbow...THAT would have been an awesome score...but not for 5K...lol

Oh, wow, I LOVE leucistic CRBs, they're so cool! Can't wait for them to get more common so the price goes down :p.
