Anyone have any tips on taking photos of your snakes?
& on getting them to stay still so I can also weigh them.
I'm no photographer but my tips would be:
1. Use the macro setting. The symbol on most cameras is a flower :).
2. Use natural lighting if possible. If not, take pictures in a room that's nice and bright.
3. If there's enough lighting, turn off the flash.
For weighing, tare the scale with a container first and then just put the snake in the container.

Put it in a container with a lid on it and weigh it then take away the weight of the container.
As for pics I just take lots of them and pick out the best ones lol.

as above.
example
rub weight 450 grams
rub with snake in 1000 grams (1 kg)
450 grams (rub weight)-1kg(rub+snake)= 550 grams (total weight of snake)
thats my method and it's never failed for me!! hope this helps

Pillow cases work well for weighing snakes, the dark enclosed space generally stops them moving around.

Natural lighting with flash off always works best for me. and I just use containers on the scale and put the snake inside that.
