Came up to the window to sip on the droplets as soon as I misted his cage. Took a few photos

Used to be the same way, but the more IJ's I see in person, the more I fall in love with them.

I love carpets! Great looking snake! :)

Thanks! I don't usually use the word tame when it comes to reptiles, but the only way to describe him is "puppy dog tame".

Love your carpets. IMO, some of the best looking I've seen outside of MDT's gamma line crazy-ness. Are your's from a particular breeder or line?

I get my carpets from many different sources.

This particular IJ is from a Spitfire Reptiles x Jeff Hartwig Reptiles pairing.(Produced by Dan Roman from Roman Reptiles)

But to be honest, this guy was very different when I first bought him. His browns were black and his yellow patterns were white/grey. So I didn't know how he was going to turn out. With each shed his color tones come out more and more.

Very nice IJ Mikoh. I really love the high yellow and high black carpets. I'm sticking with colubrids for now because they're beautiful too, and so easy to care for, but the carpet is going to be the piece de resistance to my small collection. Just have to do my research on the husbandry.

Husbandry is a peice of cake.

hotspot somewhere near 90f, Cold side somewhere near 80F(if you are brumating them you can drop the cold side 10-15f degrees)

Most carpets are bullet proof and shed just fine in 40% humidity.

And to keep them alive that's pretty much all you need to know LOL.

Great looking snake and photos!

I always liked the way snakes look in black cages. It gives it that dark jungle look or something.
