Which is your favorite

No real reason for asking, but what is your favorite brand to use. Like products for heating, lighting, thermostats and thermometers. Just curious :cool:

I'm using hydrofarm thermostats which have been working well for me.I really like THG 12 inch heat tape from Reptile Basics. RB sells quality affordable reptile supplies. I'm looking at their RBI radiant heat panels for the near future. Their ultratherm uth's are rated high as well. I use an 18 dollar IR temp gun (from China) works great. :)

what are their prices like on the RHP's? I want to go to those when I get my enclosures made...much safer than UTH's, IMO...especially on a wood product like melamine...

I live in High Point where RBI is based and have met Rich the owner and been to the warehouse. I wholeheartedly recommend them. They have great products and are really great guys who love snakes! I use both there RHP and UTH for my snakes.

I love RBI. The customer service is good, products have been great so far, and the processing/shipping is quick and efficient. I'm a huge fan of their hides. Just got a pair of 24" hemostats from them... very nice quality.

Habistat heat mats, coz they last for years and years, got a few that are over 10 years old and still going nicely, also find their thermostats to be very reliable

The thermostats I like the most are my herpstats; very constant temps, lots of features, incredible customer service, and more safety built in then others on the market(that I'm aware of). Although next thermo I get will be some VE thermos from reptile basics to give them a go. I do like the hydrofarms. Same price as the zilla, zoo med crap, but reliable. As for heat I use thg 12" heat tape on just about everything I've got. But I'll have a rhp sometime this next week or so(gift card). I use a temp gun I got from a show.

As for all the comments on reptile basics I can confirm everything said. Great guys, great products. I live a couple towns over from them. I even got my first captive snake from rich when he had piedmont reptiles in the late 90s.
