after 19 days of having her (Turbine), all she did was hide and NEVER come out. But i took out the hide, and gave her other ones, now she's hiding under the paper towel (Do you guys use full sheets? or rip them up?) ..

She's finally out of hiding and prowling around the enclosure.

i don't even really look at my snakes or mess with them unless i am taking them out or spot checking or changing water or something like that. when i was younger (especially a young kid) i wanted to manhandle everything and hold them constantly and i ended up really messing up a BRB and giving it mites and made it stop eating and the whole 9 yards. sometimes i feel guilty for not taking my snakes out enough but they spend most of the time out of their cages just trying to find a nice spot to curl up and hide in anyway lol. so i just leave them alone 80% of the time and let them live their lives. leaves me with good eaters and full sheds :P

I'm also glad to see she's coming out and exploring. It means she's getting more comfortable with her new environment.

I actually have 2 of them out of 35 that are like this. Pindari, my Scrub would repeatedly strike at me even when I'm cleaning his cage and changing his water. Argus, my little Coastal is not so aggressive. Instead she would rather just hide inside one of her logs when I'm cleaning her cage. Medusa, on the other hand wants out every time I come home and the others are more than willing to come out when it's their time. I would say, IMO, it all depends on the snake.
