Old Snake Movie - can't remember title

My friend and I used to watch it in the early 90's but I think it is an 80's movie.

All I remember is a woman had a boa/python who was her "guard snake" One night someone broke into her house thu her window (right where the snake was) and the snake struck the burglar and they both fell out the window.

That was called Sssssnakes. Early 70's flick when Dirk Benedict was a young stud. Evil/crazy/whack-job scientist turned his young grad student (Benedict) into a king cobra. One of my favs. I was like 10 when this came out (I think). Just when I was getting into reptiles. I watched this movie again last year on Netflixs or something. It was really pretty cheesy, but, hey, it's got some pretty cool snakes in it so I still enjoyed it.

Btw, the scene you're talking about is when the town football stud tried to hit on, and was rebuffed by the crazy scientist's daughter. He tried to then climb into her window at night, the boa (naturally) attacked him and they both fell. Boa died, which brought the wrath of the crazy scientist upon him. Later in the movie (SPOILER ALERT), the football kid had a date with a black mamba in the shower.

THANK you - it has been so long since I've seen it (like 20 years) TY so much for the title name - I asked the friend who I watched it with and he can't remember either and it bugs the tar out of him lol

when the scifi channel first came on the air, they showed it a few times around like 94-96.

I really miss when they were a new channel, constant reruns of classics, not churning out new CGI flicks every week and wrestling.
