Bast is here!

[Paratoxins]

Well, you know how I said I probably wouldn't be getting the blood python or the tegu named Padma? Well, due to circumstances changing, this has also changed. The fact that my lease will not be renewed next year has brought us all back together, my fiance has found a job, annnd we've found my stepfather to be a lying hypocrit, so...

That's neither here nor there, though. Padma will be coming home after our move and my blood python arrived today.

I've decided to name her Bast. She's a 3 foot Red Sumatran. Appears to be docile for now, but I'll give her two weeks to adjust aside from routine maintenance. She was shipped from The Snake Shop in Las Vegas, have to give them a very positive review.

I did call them today while at work and they said she was due for a feeding. Being that she just shipped overnight I wasn't too optimistic that she would feed, but she did! So thrilled!

Here's some pics. The ones of her being handled were just after she'd been unboxxed before going in the reptile tub I made for her(temps and humidity are holding up very well).

Beautiful snake. I love the name too. Used to have a kitty named Bast.
