View Full Version : Figment, my BCI
Hey everyone, thought I would introduce Figment now that I can link to my pictures! She was purchased from a reptile store here as an "aberrant red tail boa", but the store closed before I could go back and see the parents like I wanted to. Her siblings were all really pretty normals too, but she was the only female, and I fell in love with her. She's incredibly sweet. She is turning three in March, and growing like a weed.
This is my most recent (decent) picture of her:

And some from early last summer:

And this one is also from early last year, unfortunately it's the most recent picture I have of her full body. It just occurred to me I need to take more of those. So she's grown a lot since then. She's also about to shed, so it's not the best. But I just love her saddles.

Beautiful girl! She's stayed so pale, and that tail just makes her even more beautiful. :)
Thanks for all the compliments, everyone! It was a pretty nice surprise, because she was getting ready to shed the day I brought her home, and looked like this:

So it was kind of a shock when she shed three days later and looked like a totally different boa! I had picked her out because I liked her head stripe so much.
She just amazes me with how light she has stayed.
A close up of her shedding because I think it's cool:

And just to show her color inside as well as outside

Nope. She's a boa constrictor, so she's a constrictor. :) The slit eyes do not work outside of the US, and boa constrictors are native to South and Central America.

Ya, the slit in the eyes only indicates that the snake is nocturnal not weather or not it is venomous.
